The Peshawar Basin


Surrounded by mountain ranges and bordered by the Indus River in the East, the Peshawar Basin is a fertile valley at approximately 300 m asl. In 2004, one village near Mardan was selected as a study site for the Sustainable Livelihoods Survey .
